My Online Home is a personal, non-commercial website run by one person. This page explains what it collects and why. In short: almost nothing, and no tracking.
The contact form collects your email address, your message, your name if you give it, and the page you came from. I use these only to read and reply to your message. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering people who get in touch.
Messages are stored in the website's database, hosted by Cloudflare, and nobody else sees them. To stop spam, the form also stores a one-way scrambled code made from your IP address and the date. That code can't be turned back into your address. Messages are deleted automatically after 12 months, or sooner if you ask.
The site doesn't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and it doesn't build a profile of you. Public pages set no cookies at all.
The only cookie is the one set when the site owner signs in on the sign-in page. It keeps that device signed in for 30 days and is deleted on signing out. It is strictly necessary for signing in, so it doesn't need consent. To slow down password guessing, failed sign-in attempts are counted against the same kind of one-way code made from the IP address and the date, and counts more than an hour old are cleared out at the next sign-in attempt.
Some pages save things in your own browser's storage so they work quickly and offline. The recipe book keeps a copy of the recipes, and the wildlife tracker keeps your list. This stays on your device. It isn't sent to me, and you can clear it any time in your browser settings.

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Use the contact form. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
